Home School Registration:  As of 1 August 2010, the Columbus School liaison has been approved by the local State School Attendance  Officer to conduct registration for  children who are home schooled.  Contcat the SLO @ 434.2792 for an appointment.

Note:  Mississippi state law requires registration be completed each school year, prior to 15 September.

Registration Requirements:

For BOTH districts, the following documents are required:

1.  Birth certificate

2.   Social Security Number

3.  Mississippi Immunization Form 121 [provided by Medical Group on base]

4.  Records from previous school [if applicable]

5.  Two forms of Residency Verification [lease, mortgage, utility bills, etc]

ACT/SAT Testing

Check out the below websites on ACT and/or SAT testing.  Plenty of info regarding registration, testing schedule and quick tips on these all important tests for aspiring college students!  Tests begin in early September, with advanced registration required.  Register early to avoid a late fee!

School Liaison Info Now Using Social Media:  As of 1 January 2010, the Columbus AFB School Liaison Office has a facebook and twitter site available to communicate K-12 Education data to the families assigned to Columbus Air Force Base.  Simply search on "Columbus AFB School Liaison Office" in facebook and/or "CAFBSLO" in twitter.
